The Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi is searching for a Visiting Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Political Theory (open rank). Candidates must be research active and specialize in at least one of these areas: democratic or liberal theory, applied ethics (especially relating to corporations and technology), comparative political theory (focusing on Asian traditions).

Candidates must hold a PhD and are expected to have considerable teaching experience. We seek candidates who can contribute to the intellectual life of the division. A strong record of professional achievement is preferred.

The appointment would commence in Academic Year 2020-2021 and could be for up to three years, subject to budgetary approval. The NYUAD academic calendar typically starts the last week of August and ends in the last week of May. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the UAE in time for the beginning of the semester.
