The Coordinator of Instructional Technology is responsible for exploring, identifying, developing, and supporting instructional technology solutions that promote student learning. The position will work collaboratively with faculty, staff and academic leadership to plan, develop, and deliver educationally effective, highly engaging, and innovative instructional materials for hybrid and online classes. This position will work under the supervision of the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and in collaboration with the Library Director in developing and executing professional development for faculty with the goal of moving innovation in academic instruction forward. The Coordinator of Instructional Technology will be a flexible thinker, able to determine and apply sound pedagogical strategies.
ï¿½ Provides instructional design expertise to faculty and staff in support of hybrid and online environments.
ï¿½ Works collaboratively with faculty to structure learning activities and assessments and to analyze student learning outcomes.
ï¿½ Collaborates with IT, Academic Affairs and faculty in ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences that leverage academic technologies.
ï¿½ Works directly with faculty in designing fully accessible/inclusive academic materials that meet the principles of Universal Design.
ï¿½ Provides group, individual, and online training to faculty, staff and students.
ï¿½ Assists with the design and production of instructional materials to support faculty and students, including video tutorials and self-paced trainings.
ï¿½ Provides faculty and staff with support documentation on a range of educational strategies and technologies.
ï¿½ Promotes quality standards for instructional technology and the development of courses and curricula.
ï¿½ Leads workshops, webinars, and modules showcasing approved instructional technologies that integrate with the College's LMS.
ï¿½ Assumes additional duties as required.
ï¿½ Master's degree in Computer Science, Education or closely related field;
ï¿½ Three years of experience in instructional technology and support;
ï¿½ Five years of college-level teaching experience;
ï¿½ Knowledge of Jenzabar;
ï¿½ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
ï¿½ Familiarity with the principles of Universal Design; and
ï¿½ A valid Massachusetts driver's license.
ï¿½ Teaching or administrative experience in an urban community college
ï¿½ Experience developing course materials using OER
ï¿½ Knowledge of the Quality Matters standards
