The Peck School, a coed, K - 8, independent school in Morristown, NJ, seeks a full-time Science Intern to work in partnership with our 8th Grade Science Teacher. The Science Intern will provide in-class support while the partnering teacher presents lessons via video conference. This one-year position presents an outstanding opportunity to gain experience and training among an innovative and highly regarded group of educators. As an integral member of the faculty, this individual will participate in school duties, including recess, lunch, and proctoring.
The ideal Science Intern will display intellectual curiosity, independent initiative, a thirst for collaboration and team-oriented work, and a willingness to take on new challenges. An undergraduate or master’s degree is required, as well as demonstrated experience working with children. A background in science is preferred, but not required.
This position provides full benefits, including medical insurance, and a salary of $30,000. Housing may also be available, along with additional opportunities to earn supplemental income through coaching or afterschool instruction.
