Instructor, Biological Sciences in Anatomy and Physiology (Part-time, non-tenure track, POOL POSTING)

Job Description: Applications to this pool will be utilized to fill part-time, non-tenure track, non-benefits eligible instructor positions as student demand dictates. The Department of Biological Sciences at Ohio University seeks two candidates for a part time non-tenure track position instructing the Department's Human Anatomy and Physiology laboratory courses. The ideal candidate will have a record of outstanding undergraduate teaching as demonstrated by assessments of teaching effectiveness, participation in professional development programs on teaching practices, and experience with innovative practices in instructional design and technology. Previous experience teaching anatomy and physiology is a plus but not required. The primary job responsibility is planning and delivery of the laboratory sections of BIOS 1300 and 1310, Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II. As part of this process the successful applicant will supervise undergraduate teaching assistants. These courses are required for Nursing students in the College of Health Sciences Professions. Students will be primarily Nursing students and non-Biology majors. Applications will be accepted into the pool through July 31, 2021 and will be utilized to fill positions for the 2020-21 academic year.
