Riverside Presbyterian Day School, an independent co-educational elementary (PreK 3 – 6th Grade) day school located in Jacksonville, FL seeks a full-time Instructional Technology and Support Specialist for the 2020-2021 academic year. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Instructional Technology and Support Specialist will facilitate the integration of technology in the instructional program by providing professional development, supporting instruction, and serving as a resource that will help increase technology literacy in our school. The position will support Riverside Presbyterian Day School faculty, staff, students, and parents in the appropriate use of instructional and educational technologies. The ideal candidate will engage, lead and participate with faculty, staff, and students in one-on-one consultations, workshops, and training sessions. The position will also assist in the evaluation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of academic technology. A strong background in desktop and application support, business application support and hosted application support in a school environment is preferred. The candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide fast and friendly customer support to faculty, students and staff. The roles and responsibilities of this position are as follows: ? Support Microsoft Windows server technologies (Server 2008 R2/2012/2016) operating systems, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Hyper-V virtualization platforms. ? Assist with and troubleshoot the use of interactive boards, multimedia systems, Apple TVs, document cameras and other technologies used for teaching and learning. ? Provide technical support for basic to advanced software, hardware, phone & network problems. ? Proficient in Google for Education. Familiarity with Blackbaud K-12, Renaissance Software, Reflex Math, Seesaw, Google Classroom, and Apple School Manager a plus ? Provide support to our 1:1 iPad program using a Mobile Device Management platform ? Installing and maintaining computer equipment and systems. ? Prepare training materials and deliver effective hands-on training sessions for audiences of all skill levels and abilities. ? Researches emerging teaching and learning technologies, initiatives and trends to provide ideas, guidance, and recommendations to faculty and staff. ? Prepare and maintain systems documentation. ? Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Educational Technology or other
Experience in K–12 educational setting preferred
2-3 years in desktop administration/support.
2-3 years experience integrating technology into curriculum
2-3 developing, organizing and delivering effective technology training
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills
In conjunction with the School's policy, this position requires a Level II Background check which includes fingerprinting and toxicology screening.
