![]() Education Department: Lecturer Pool (Ongoing) The Education Departmentat the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of part-time lecturers who may be appointed to teach in select content areas within Education, which include math, science, English, social science education, educational technology, English language development and literacy. Applicants with a Ph.D. in education or an Ed.D. are strongly encouraged to apply. The Education Department offers research and instructional programs to meet the needs of public education in a diverse society. Our primary intellectual and practical focus is on improving the education of culturally and linguistically diverse students and the education of the teachers who serve them. ACADEMIC TITLE Lecturer SALARY Commensurate with qualifications and experience and the particular courses the Lecturer is appointed to teach. Compensation for Summer Session courses may vary from courses taught during the academic year. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
POSITION AVAILABLE Appointments are contingent on the hiring unit's instructional need and the availability of funding. Appointments are typically made during one or more quarters of the regular academic year (fall, winter, and spring quarters), but they may also be made during Summer Session.
