REDEEMER UNIVERSITY invites applications for a tenure-track position (open rank) in the Department of Education beginning July 1, 2021. Candidates must be aligned with and passionate about Redeemer’s Christian mission of integrating faith in teaching and research.
The ideal applicant would hold a B.Ed. degree and a Ph.D. in the field of Education and would have significant experience teaching in the primary and junior grades. The ideal applicant would be able to teach courses in Math Education for primary/junior grades. Love of and experience in teaching language arts or the ability to teach courses in Science Education would also be a significant asset. Experience supervising practicum students would also be an asset. Applicants should also possess the ability to teach other courses in our Bachelor of Education Program.
Applicants are also required to possess knowledge of the current Ontario Ministry of Education K-12 curricula and educational policies, the ability to work as a team member, interest in educational research, and the potential to develop a fruitful research project in education.
As a liberal arts and sciences undergraduate university rooted in the Reformed tradition of Christianity, we seek candidates committed to this framework.
