St. Ambrose University seeks an energetic faculty member for a full-time, tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the Nursing Department to support its pre-licensure BSN program starting in August 2021. The ideal candidate will have nursing expertise with 2 years' experience, with preference given to those with prior teaching and medical surgical experience. The candidate will be joining an engaged faculty housed in the Center for Health Sciences Education.
The Iowa Board of Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accredit our nursing programs. Qualified applicants will possess an earned Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DNP). Applicants who are ABD will be considered. All candidates must be licensed in or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Iowa. Responsibilities include teaching in areas of expertise, advising and mentoring students, serving on department and university committees and implementing a scholarship agenda.
