The role of the M Simulation Academic Technologist is to provide expertise and support within the simulation center to ensure optimal effectiveness and efficiency of simulation based training and education. The Academic Technologist will accomplish this by working collaboratively with other M Simulation team members and faculty, learners, and external clients of the simulation center. The Academic Technologist will consult with faculty/instructors to ensure their technical work is in-line with meeting educational objectives for simulation training sessions. The Academic Technologist will also be responsible for running any or all of the simulators/manikins. This person will have a proven strong background in information technology and related hardware as well as working consultatively with instructors and learners. They will collaborate with the Simulation Technology Coordinator, to serve as the co-leads for troubleshooting and administration of IT/AV systems within the infrastructure of the Health Sciences Education Center simulation center. This position will require some nights and weekends. It reports to the Executive Director of M Simulation, working collaboratively with the Senior Simulation Specialist and other Simulation Specialist team members.
