Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Science (Pharmacology)

Overview: The Assistant Visiting Professor of Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmacology (or related discipline) provides academic instruction to pharmacy students in the PharmD program, with primary focus on the online pharmacy pathway. Faculty will also be expected to contribute to on campus instruction. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, participation in assigned school or college committees, service as a faculty advisor to pharmacy students and oversight of assigned co-curricular student activities, and participation in scholarship. Employment will be on a 3-year (12-month) Visiting Faculty contract, renewable based on performance. Job Responsibilities: Core responsibilities of this position include: Education / Experience: Qualified applicants will hold a PhD. in Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmacology, or in a related discipline. Previous academic experience is highly desirable especially in professional pharmacy program. Preference will be given for candidates with online learning and instruction experience. Successful candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong desire to contribute to the growth and development of the school in an innovative, thoughtful, and enthusiastic manner.
