Purpose: Working to expand its schoolwide engineering and design program, The Episcopal School of Dallas seeks an Upper School STEM instructor who focuses primarily on teaching engineering practices and the design process to students with a variety of backgrounds and abilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest and background in engineering and be inspired to help develop and refine a K-12 program, curricularly and towards real-world applications and competitions, guided by the candidate’s vision, strengths, and understanding of trends in careers related to engineering.
Qualifications & Skills:
3+ years as a Upper School science teacher or related experience in the field, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in science, mathematics, or related field; Master’s degree desirable
Experience with the processes and tools of engineering including programming (highly desirable), software, and equipment to support the essential functions outlined below
Willingness to support students on projects or competitions beyond normal school hours
