The Role:

Menlo School is seeking a computer science teacher for the school year that begins in mid-August 2021.  We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach a range of courses (from Introduction to Programming to AP Computer Science to Advanced Topics in Computer Science).

Candidates should be comfortable designing and executing curriculum as part of a teaching team.  We look for teachers who are dynamic, highly collaborative and committed to professional growth in their discipline and in their teaching practice. Menlo educators are passionate about teaching, experts in their fields, and dedicated to helping all students. We want to meet teachers who will embody the heart of Menlo School by promoting collegial, respectful and supportive relationships and who are dedicated to helping all students achieve their best. A degree in Computer Science, Math or a related field and 3-5 years of teaching experience are highly preferred.

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

• The job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment, but there may be possible exposure to childhood diseases and illnesses
• Exposure to heated/air conditioned and ventilated facilities with average interior dust with occasional exposure to outdoor elements
• Exposure to a normal school environment that is usually quiet but sometimes noisy
