The Berkeley Carroll Middle School seeks an inspirational and passionate Science teacher for a full-time position beginning in the autumn of 2021. Intelligence, stamina, humor and a love for the special qualities of middle schoolers are essential. The science department uses a Project Based Learning approach and applicants should have exposure to this method of teaching. The process of curriculum design and delivery is collaborative and curriculum is uniform across a grade. Grade-level teaching teams schedule multiple meetings per week in order to plan effective lessons. Each grade level touches on multiple disciplines. Applicants should be open to teaching any grade five through eight. Prior experience teaching students of this age is critical.
