This position shall primarily assist in the implementation of a USAID funded education project in Uzbekistan initially. The objective of the project is to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Public Education (MoPE) in developing ICT standards, curriculum products, and assessments. In addition, the project requires this position to assist reviewing, modifying, and building ICT textbooks, teacher guides, student resources, and other educational materials and processes as necessary. It is expected that the person hired for this position may travel to Uzbekistan 2-3 times for periods of 12-20 days per visit. This position will report directly to a project manager located at MSU. There will be frequent contact with the prime partner for the project and the Uzbekistan partners. Foreign language skills are not required. The project has been underway for a year and this position will aid in capacity for expansion of project deliverables. This is a time limited project with funding for 3 years. The position, a secondary function initially, shall assist the research and partnership development functions of the unit as time allows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide project support for the design and development of student learning materials based on new ICT standards and curricula being developed for the project. 2. Support needs assessments, research, plan, and deliver training activities in Uzbekistan. 3. Support relationships with the prime contractor, USAID, MoPE and other stakeholders in Uzbekistan. 4. Support training resources and support training for MoPE. 5. Understand and manage appropriate protocols for interacting with international partners. 6. Design, development and implement training that builds capacity of MoPE staff and other education related partners in Uzbekistan. 7. Hold a valid US passport and able to secure a visa for work in Uzbekistan for extended periods of time. Anticipate 2-3 trips per year ranging 12-20 days per trip. 8. May perform any other duties as assigned.
1. Education: Bachelor's Degree with focus on Education, Computer Science, or Relevant Field. 2. Experience: 3 years working in STEM, ICT, or Computer Science education or developing education materials.

Physical Requirements: 1. No unusual physical requirements. Requires limited lifting of files and records and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility. 2. Frequent external imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis and may require working odd hours or evenings occasionally with partners around the globe. 3. Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
