We are seeking a full-time Upper School Engineering and Computer Science Teacher (long term sub) from April through early June. Our Pre­K-­12 Computer Science Department and DREAM Lab® program combines hands-­on design and making with traditional computer science.  Our program is a hands-on, project-based program, and the successful candidate will be experienced in developing and implementing a project-based curriculum. The Upper School Computer Science and Engineering teacher will teach four or more courses in the Upper School (grades 9-12), including Computer Science 2, Engineering 2, and Advanced Design. He/she will have primary responsibility for designing and implementing the curriculum and creating enthusiasm for Computer Science and Engineering as a field of study, and will have the support of the Computer Science Chair and department colleagues. The successful candidate will be an experienced secondary-level teacher and will have a Computer Science or related STEM degree.  In addition, he/she will support the school’s mission, and contribute to the life of the school by fulfilling duties typical of independent day school life.
