Upper School Chemistry Teacher
Marin Academy
Marin Academy seeks an experienced high school science teacher for a full-time position beginning in August 2021. The successful candidate should have a strong background in Chemistry and be able to teach a range of courses from the introductory to the advanced. Ideal candidates will also have the ability and/or experience to teach additional courses either in the physical or life sciences. The MA science department deeply values a student inquiry-based approach to the discipline, emphasizes process and skill development, and works to connect curriculum and students to the world. Candidates with a track record and a demonstrated interest in progressive pedagogy and collaboration within and potentially beyond the science department are particularly encouraged to apply. MA is in the early years of an ambitious strategic plan which emphasizes interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary teaching and learning, competency-based assessment, equity, and inclusion. Candidates eager to work toward these strategic goals will be prioritized in our search progress.
