On Track OHSU! is part of OHSUs Office of Science Education Opportunities, and works to increase the racial diversity of OHSUs schools and programs and of Oregons biomedical workforce. On Track works with students starting in 6 th grade, and stays with those same students through high school and college. On Track has been working with students since 2013 and is currently partnering with communities in North Portland, Woodburn, Warm Springs, and Chiloquin. In Portland we work with Portland Public Schools in N/NE Portland, including Jefferson High School Middle College for Advanced Studies, Ockley Green Middle School, Harriet Tubman Middle School, Vernon K-8 and Faubion K-8. The North Portland Community Liaison position is a new position. This person will be responsible for creating a direct connection between OHSU and the schools and community partners throughout N/NE Portland. This position is key in providing direct access to Black, African and African American students in our partner schools and will assist in building and adapting program materials and lessons with a culturally responsive lens to best fit the needs of the students from these communities.
