Professional Opportunity: Upper School IB Physics and Science Teacher Saint George’s School is an independent K-12 school, serving a population of approximately 350 students from the greater Spokane area. The school offers a vibrant and challenging academic program highlighted by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program in 11th and 12th grades and complemented by a well-developed set of enrichment offerings. Saint George’s School seeks an Upper School IB Physics and general science teacher for the 2021-22 school year beginning July 1, 2020. The classes to be taught include Introduction to Physics (Grade 9), Introduction to Biology and Chemistry (Grade 10), IB Physics 1 (Grade 11), and IB Physics 2 (Grade 12). Successful candidates will: have demonstrated expertise in their disciplines; love working with adolescents and their parents; have a strong understanding of pedagogy, a desire to collaborate closely with colleagues, and an interest in encouraging cross-curricular connections. Teachers at Saint George’s model life-long learning. Experience and interest in coaching a robotics team (FIRST Robotics Competition) will be a plus. Responsibilities:
