Science Teacher - Environmental Sciences, Marine Biology, Sustainability
Seacrest Country Day School
Teaching Science (Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Sustainability Programs) to students grades 9-12 in a small, collaborative, and creative environment. Emphasis on hands-on learning. We want to continue to teach science through our currently permitted aquaculture project, bee-keeping class, organic gardening, and chicken husbandry along with our estuary and marine ecosystem field trips and include new ideas that make Environmental Science personal to our students. Seacrest prides itself on its commitment to being at the forefront of preschool through grade 12 education. We believe that our expert and caring faculty need the freedom to create a classroom experience that challenges and engages each student using exciting and creative teaching methods. Our classrooms are not a place for complacency, but active environments where our students love to learn. We retain and recruit dynamic educators who embrace our mission to fuel intellectual engagement. Candidates should value collaboration; partnerships; seeking new, mission-appropriate methodologies; and love working with children. Please take time to explore our website www.seacrest.org . If you believe you would be a good fit for our community, please submit a cover letter and resume to Marty Durham, Director of Operations and Human Resources, at mdurham@seacrest.org
