Washington Episcopal School seeks a dynamic teacher of middle school level math and science (Math 6, Pre-Algebra, Earth Science, Life Science) to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is an experienced classroom teacher at the middle school level who is excited to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences in both subject areas. In Science, lab work and field study are integral elements of daily teaching and learning. In Math, a passion for numbers and solid pedagogical practice drives a joyful and active learning experience. As a member of a dedicated Middle School team, this full-time position includes Homeroom and/or Advisory responsibilities.

Teaching experience of 3-5 years in independent schools preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to foster critical thinking, problem solving, independence, and ethics in students

Ability to successfully develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and school families
Willingness to support the philosophy of the school
