Cheshire Academy seeks a full-time Science teacher for the upcoming 2021-22 academic year.
The successful candidate will be able to provide quality instruction in various levels and disciplines of science. Ability to teach a combination of at least two of the listed sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Sports/Exercise/Health Science) is preferred. Candidates who have a dynamic presence in the classroom, an innovative and open approach to curriculum design, a collaborative approach to teaching, and who incorporate new technologies are strongly encouraged to apply. Interest in or experience with IB science is a plus. Candidates with instructional coaching and/or leadership experience is a plus. Candidates must embrace participation in the entire boarding school experience.
Minimally, this candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in either biology or chemistry. A Master’s degree, teaching credentials, and/or relevant teaching experience are preferred.
Other responsibilities include:
Coaching and/or leading extra-curricular activities;
Weekend team responsibilities;
Residential/dormitory duties (if housing is provided.)
Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CT “A” endorsement for purposes of transporting students.
At Cheshire Academy, it is expected that teaching faculty participate in 2 of 3 afternoon coaching seasons. The coaching positions we have available are (please specify your coaching interests):

School provided housing is not guaranteed for the academic year of 2021-2022.
Salary and benefits are competitive. Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check and provide positive references. School housing is not guaranteed.
